The Joinery provides custom furniture to fit the precise needs and wildest dreams of clients. Rick Funcik started The Joinery in 1988. He is a professional cabinetmaker who designs and builds custom hand-made wooden furniture. His education includes a B.S. Design from Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, with training in photography and furniture design. Rick worked in photography and multi-media production roles prior to starting his business.

WOODWORKING INSTRUCTION - Rick teaches woodworking skills courses at Woodcraft in St. Louis. Rick also tutors private classes to individuals who seek support in setting up their own shop or expanding their knowledge of woodworking skills.
FLY FISHING RODS - Rick is an avid fly fisherman. He has mastered the process of building custom fly rods from bamboo and other materials and builds custom rods to meet clients' needs.
